Notice of Interest for Station VP’s

Brothers and Sisters:

We are presently looking for representatives in select stations that have a vacancy. Present Station Vice Presidents were elected 1 year ago for a two year term according to the By-laws of CUPE Local 4848. With resignations and vacancies remaining an expression of interest will be offered to those stations with a vacancy before an interim representative is reassigned.

If you are interested in the opportunity to make a difference in the working conditions for you, your friends and your colleagues, this is a great challenge for you.

Bursaries - CUPE Local 4848

CUPE LOCAL 4848 is please to offer four (4) bursaries in the amount of $500.00 the bursary will be offered to a full-time student who will be attending university or trade school/community College. The bursaries are in the name of the CUPE Local 4848.

Tentative Agreement Notice

April 13,2013:

This notice is to inform the membership of CUPE Local 4848 that the Province of New Brunswick and CUPE Local 1252 have reached a tentative agreement. During the week of April 14 to 20 meetings will be held to present the tentative agreement to the Paramedics and Dispatchers in various locations across the province. Following the presentation a vote by ballot will be held at the presentation for members present. Meetings will be held at the following dates and locations.

Notice:

The Local and Employer are in Mutual agreement to post only Job Postings of stations that meet the linguistic profile on March 20, 2013. The agreement is to allow time for employees to have official language testing completed before jobs with a bilingual requirement are posted again. What this means is, those jobs posted on March 20 will not have a bilingual requirement in the qualifications. The Local asks for your patience with this matter.
